WELCOME BACK TABB TIGERS!

We are excited for the first day of school Monday. We know the first day brings many emotions for students and parents. Our staff is ready to make this a great first day.WAYS to HELP the FIRST DAY RUN SMOOTHLY:-making sure your child's teacher knows how your child is getting home (bus or car). Calling the main office (757-898-0372) and letting them know is the best way to make sure the teacher has the information if you make a change!-attaching the pick-up number tags to the handle of your child's back pack-making sure your Kindergarten students have on the colored name tag you received at open house-looking at the lunch menu and discussing lunch choices-having your student practice learning their student id number/lunch number-working with your student to make sure they know their new teacher's name and bus route number

A FEW THINGS TO KEEP IN MIND: Patience is key!

BUSES- We know bus runs are not exact, especially on the first days of school. Please be at your bus stop 15 minutes before the designated time and wait at least 20 minutes after the designated time. TES does not have access to transportation updates regarding delays or changes. If you need bus information you will need to contact the Transportation Department. TES will send out a message when the buses have left the school for the first 4 days of school. This will allow you to have a better idea of when you can expect your child's bus to be at the stop.

CARLINE- On a regular day, we have 100 plus cars that utilizes the drop-off and pick-up line. On the first days of school, the number almost doubles. TES staff has a very organized and safe process for the carline. We ask that you follow the directions of the staff members to maintain the safety of our students and staff. Please have your student exit the vehicle on the passenger side of the vehicle directly onto the sidewalk. Do not pass any cars unless you have been asked to do so by the staff member at the front of the carline. Preschool students and students who need extra support will be utilizing the carline. This may cause the line to come to a stop while we assist those students. We appreciate your patience. As a reminder, please label your child's belongings, especially lunchboxes, water bottles and jackets. Students have the option to take water bottles outside to recess and to lunch. Our lost item area fills up quickly with these items.

Our parking lot and driveway are very congested during arrival. TES buses use the front of the school to unload our students. To better maintain the safety of our students and families, there is no parent walk-ups to drop off students at the front door. TES staff is located throughout the building to assist students in locating their classrooms if needed. Staff is also present at the front of the school to assist with unloading of the buses.
